Hello there!! I just had a blast from the past byt listening to this Mariah Carey song. Well, the last time I probably heard it was when I was in Primary 3-4 or something, but I guess I never really listened to songs back then. Anyways, I know it's ridiculus to review about a song (that was released in 1997, no less) but I guess I should give it a shot. Let's see, the song is just like every other song : it's about the L-word.
However, I feel that it's kinda different from any other love song with have now. I can't remember hearing a song which
clearly defines and
expresses how one person is able to let go of someone they love just so that person could
find themself. It's just so sweet, really. Most of the songs now are just so...straightforward? So...common?
- Love Story - Taylor Swift
- One Time - Justin Bieber
- Don't Forget - Demi Lovato
- It's Alright, It's Okay - Ashley Tisdale
- Say Ok - Vanessa Hudgens
- Haven't Met You Yet - Michael Buble
I have all the songs on my laptop and my iPod, and honestly I do listen to at least one of them each day, but after quite sometime, it just starts to feel like not being in love is very shitty. And it will always be something like
- Person A loves Person B
- Person A loves Person B but Person B loves Person C
- Person A loves Person B but Person B cheated on Person A
- Person A broke up with Person B but misses Person B
so you get the point, right??
